About your photographer
Hey there! I’m Michelle (she/her), the photographer behind Hilarious Hound.
You may have guessed it, I LOVE DOGS, but I also love pigs – don’t judge! Life with pets is beautifully unpredictable – the joy, the chaos, the unconditional love. That’s why I started Hilarious Hound. I wanted to capture those real, authentic moments that make our pets so special.
After years of working with models and fashion designers (talk about a different world!), I traded the runway for the “catwalk” and switched to working with animals and haven’t looked back.
My passion for capturing animals has been a 20-year journey (and yes, it started with film!). Along the way, I’ve learned everything from darkroom techniques to the nuances of animal behavior through working with trainers. Because let’s be real, sometimes those magical moments require a little extra patience, a lot of love, and maybe a treat or two!

MY DOG CAN’T SIT STILL AND DOESN’T LISTEN. CAN HE/SHE STILL BE A HILARIOUS HOUND?
Absolutely! Let’s be real, most dogs aren’t perfectly behaved supermodels (though they’re all super cute!). The dogs you see on my website are just regular pups being themselves – quirks, wiggles, and all! With my background in dog training, I’m prepared for anything your furry friend throws my way – shy, silly, or somewhere in between. Just let me know if your pup has any special needs or quirks, and we’ll make sure their photo session is a fun and comfortable experience for everyone.
Do you photograph animals other than dogs?
Absolutely! While dogs are definitely my specialty (puppies! slobbery kisses! zoomies!), I’m a sucker for all creatures great and small. Cats, chickens, bunnies, guinea pigs – you name it, they’re welcome in my studio! I’ve even had a few surprise guests (let’s just say, things can get interesting!).
How can I display my images? What if I have limited wall space?

What if I just want digital files?
Absolutely! Digitals are definitely an option, and I’m happy to provide them. But fair warning – they might just end up lost in the digital abyss (we’ve all been there, right?). There’s something magical about seeing your pet’s adorable face printed and framed, ready to greet you with a smile every day. Just something to think about! But seriously, the choice is yours, and I’m happy to help you decide what’s best.
HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT TO PAY FOR MY HILARIOUS HOUND SESSION?
Great question! Creating a truly special piece of art is an investment, starting at $600. This includes either three high-res digital images or a gorgeous framed 16×20 print to kick off your art collection. Most of my clients, though, fall in love with so many images that they typically budget around $1,300+ for their one-of-a-kind art collection. Think of it as an investment in preserving those precious memories – those goofy grins, those loving gazes – forever.
