Oh, Story!
This beautiful golden doodle stumbled upon her forever home in quite a unique way. Her parents were ready to bring home a new furry family member. They had a friend back in Ohio who, from time to time, would house dogs, working on their training and behavior and help find these pups their perfect family.
“I have the perfect dog for you!”, said their friend. So, Story’s parents drove from San Francisco to Columbus, OH to welcome this new family member in their lives.
But the dog they thought they were bringing home wasn’t Story.
As they drove three days east-bound, their new family member started showing signs of leash aggression and being in a high-rise with tight quarters and frequent elevator passengers, it wasn’t an ideal fit.
But their long drive wasn’t going to be a total flop. At the time, their family friend was housing another pup, a large, rambunctious and beautiful golden doodle with the most perfect eyebrows! It. Was. The. Perfect. Match!
“My dog could never behave for photos!” This is the biggest concern I hear among dog parents.
This was serious concern for Story’s parents. Being a golden doodle in nature means Story is a high-energy dog. So, in hopes to break some of this energy they walked Story 5 miles from the financial district to Crissy Beach on the day of their photo shoot.
Did the walk help? Not at all! Story knew she had the spotlight and she let us know. But, with some strange noises, yummy treats, and lots of patience Story managed to knock her photos out of the park!
