Jaco, you are a dog after my heart – lover of all things beach! From the way, the wind blows in your hair to the calming sound of crashing waves. It truly is a place to let go and be free, and this my friend is indeed what you did!
By pure luck of being in the right place at the right time, I met Jaco’s mom a few years back at Backer Beach. I was wrapping up another session, and his mom spotted my and my Hilarious Hound branded uniform from across the parking lot and came over to say Hello. So when she submitted Jaco to be a part of the Hilarious Hounds of the Bay project, I knew it was his time to shine in front of the camera.
When it came to sharing his Hilarious Hound story, it was a no brainer, when you are a lover of all things beach, you go to the beach for your photoshoot. So back to Baker Beach, we went! And it was a great shoot; the clouds had just parted right before we began, opening the sky to the beautiful blue that it is. And Jaco let his personality shine as bright as the sun that day!

What started as a goal to raise money for the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA turned into a beautiful collection of 30 lucky Bay Area dogs showcasing what makes them Hilarious Hounds. And this collection of inspiring images was bundled into a limited-edition photobook – where all proceeds from the book sales will be donated to the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA.
